We are so excited to welcome you back to live concerts in Birmingham for the first time in 16 months!
Our first concert will take place at Symphony Hall on Sunday 23 May, 4pm. Into a World Unknown will be a programme of choral music to soothe the soul and celebrate a return to live music. In a typically varied programme, there will be a nod to the recent anniversary of the Mayflower Voyage with a short trip to the New World and some Latin American favourites, and glorious music from the British Isles that inspires us as we begin our journey to better times.
Appropriate safety measures will be in place in line with the government’s roadmap. These will include distancing between booker/household groups, and enhanced cleaning and ventilation. This means audience capacity is significantly reduced and the numbers of tickets in the group size you want in your preferred area may be limited. Early booking is recommended.
Into a World Unknown will be recorded, so those unable to secure a ticket or attend in person will be able to purchase a ticket to watch the concert online at the Idagio Global Concert Hall from 6 June. Ticketholders for the live concert will receive an access code to watch again online, free of charge. A PDF concert programme will also be emailed to all live audiences ahead of the concert.
The concert is dedicated to the memory of Chris Bullough, a founding member of Ex Cathedra and lifelong friend of Jeffrey Skidmore.
