EX CATHEDRA | Calling prospective PhD students - Collaborative Doctoral Award with Ex Cathedra and the Conservatoire

We and the Forum for Seventeenth- and Eighteenth-Century Music at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (part of Birmingham City University) are delighted to invite applications for a Collaborative Doctoral Award through the Midlands 4 Cities Doctoral Training Partnership. In the ‘Giving New Voices to Old Music: Baroque Vocal Music with Ex Cathedra’ project the doctoral researcher will create critical editions of hitherto unedited choral music from the period 1580–1740 and work with us to explore issues of performance practice.

Applications are open to both UK and international students and the award covers both tuition fees and stipend (although tuition fees will only be paid at the UK rate). Further details are available here.

Expressions of interest by 30 November, with the full deadline on 13 January, 12pm.
