The University of Birmingham’s student newspaper Redbrick has reviewed Ex Cathedra’s performance of Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis on Saturday 12 October 2013.

‘Conductor Jeffrey Skidmore introduced the orchestra and the choir with the angelic tones of ‘Kyrie’, ‘Gloria’ and ‘Credo’. Sophie Bevan and Andrew Tortise’s soprano and tenor voices launched the audience skywards as each rising crescendo broke and left us with their solos, before the music rose up once again from the strings.’
