Host of Angels

We truly value the loyalty and support of our audiences. Through your attendance, you are already doing one of the most important things you can for us by providing audiences for ‘live’ music.  But, you may not know that we are a registered charity (no.1004086) and that box office income from sold out concerts often falls many thousands of pounds short of the cost of the concert.

And you do you know that outside of the concert hall we run projects for children in schools, children and adults hospitals, community choirs and our own youth training choirs.

With our funding from Birmingham City Council now just 20% of the grant offered in 2010-11, we need your help more than ever to maintain high quality concerts, to research and commission, to nurture young singers, and to engage tens of thousands of people each year in singing activities.

We would like to invite you to go one step further and Give the gift of singing by becoming a member of our Host of Angels.

Thank you, from everyone at Ex Cathedra, and on behalf of the tens of thousands of people we engage each year in singing activities.

Please download our leaflet, and give as generously as you can:

  • Be an Angel – from £50 per person per year, or just £4.20 per month
  • Be a Guardian Angel – from £150 per person per year
  • Be an Archangel – from £500 per person per year
  • Be a Throne – from £1,500 per year
  • Be a Seraphim – for donations of £5,000 or above

To  support us, you can:

1. Donate online through our Charities Aid Foundation (CAF). You can choose between a one-off donation or a regular donation by Direct Debit.

2. Return this reply slip to Ex Cathedra, CBSO Centre, Berkley Street, Birmingham B1 2LF and enclose a cheque or set up a standing order with your bank.
3. Make a donation by text message. Just text EXCA01 and the value of your donation (£1 to £10) to 70070. Your standard message charge will also apply.

Please Gift Aid your donation if you can, it enables us to claim an additional 25p per £1 you donate.

It is great to know that so many of you share our belief in the power of music, and especially of singing, to enrich our lives and the lives of those around us. Thank you for all the support you give.
