Quintessential Ex Cathedra: 2014/15 Season announced

Ex Cathedra

We’re pleased to announce details of our 2014/15 programme. The season begins with an evening of sumptuous French Baroque music by Michel-Richard de Lalande and includes a joyful performance of Handel’s Messiah, the world premiere of James MacMillan’s new work Seven Angels and Rachmaninoff’s Vespers, marking the centenary of its first performance.

As well as our traditional Christmas Music by Candlelight performances, we will present Angels, Stars and Kings, a family Christmas concert, for the very first time.

Ex Cathedra will also visit a number of new venues this season, performing at the Barbican’s Milton Court, Hereford Cathedral and Southwell Minster.

You can read our Artistic Director Jeffrey Skidmore’s introduction to the new season here. Click on the link on the right of this page to view the new season brochure.
