On the second afternoon of our Week 1 residency at Dartington International Summer School, six singers from our Consort perform sacred and secular music from Italy inspired by the 1588 publication Musica Transalpina. The programme includes the gorgeously rich, emotional Madrigals of Claudio Monteverdi and Luca Marenzio and music by Francesco Foggia.
