Bach’s Passions are amongst the most profound of all sacred works: they convey a heartfelt emotional drama, and a timeless musical exploration of hope, suffering, and everything that makes us human.

This season we offer a unique opportunity to hear us perform both of Bach’s sublime Passion settings within a week, with two very different approaches.

In this concert, our Consort perform an intimate version of the dramatic St John Passion with a small period-instrument orchestra in the Baroque splendour of Birmingham Cathedral.
